P3RSON Law Enforcement Guidelines

Last Updated: September 17, 2026

This page is a reference for law enforcement officials seeking the data of P3RSON users. It does not apply to individual users. If you are a P3RSON user looking for help, see Safety. If you are a user who received notice that your data was disclosed to law enforcement, see Section 4 below.

1. Basic requirements

Requests must come from a law enforcement official (or a court), be sent on official letterhead, signed and dated. We do not act on requests from personal email addresses or informal channels.

Send requests to [email protected] with any supporting documents (warrant, court order or subpoena) attached in PDF format. Requests and supporting documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation. Legal process by mail: Secundino Fulgencio, P3RSON, Inc., P.O. Box 6178, Astoria, NY 11106, USA.

Acknowledging receipt of a request is a courtesy only. It does not waive any objection P3RSON may have, including lack of jurisdiction, invalid legal process or improper service.

2. Types of user data

Depending on how a user has used the platform, P3RSON may hold:

Content data generally requires a valid court order, warrant or equivalent judicial process. A subpoena alone is typically not sufficient. Overly broad requests will be refused; a request must identify a specific account (by username, email, phone number or a specific piece of content) and a specific, limited scope of data.

3. What a valid request must include

4. User notification

Where legally required, we notify users when we disclose their data to law enforcement. We may withhold that notice where it is legally prohibited, would jeopardize an active investigation, or would put someone at risk of harm. If a requesting agency needs notice delayed, say so in the request and cite the applicable legal basis.

5. Preservation requests

We will preserve specified user data for an initial 90-day period on a formal, signed request on law enforcement letterhead that clearly identifies the account and the data to preserve. One additional 90-day extension is available on request. If we do not receive formal legal process for the preserved data before the preservation period ends, it may be deleted.

6. Emergency requests

If a request involves a good-faith belief of imminent harm, or risk of death or serious physical injury to a person, we evaluate it on an emergency basis and may disclose the data necessary to prevent that harm, as permitted by law. Emergency requests must come from a sworn law enforcement official on an official law enforcement email domain, sent to [email protected].

If you are a private individual aware of an emergency, contact local law enforcement directly. We cannot act on a non-law-enforcement report of an emergency under this process.
