Violation Logging
Failed posting attempts logged to moderation_logs collection with user_id, content_type, reason, timestamp. Guardians receive daily digest emails if multiple attempts occur.
2. Prohibited Content Categories
2.1 Harassment & Bullying
Definition: Targeted attacks, threats, doxing, hate speech directed at individuals or groups.
Examples: Death threats, slurs, doxxing, public shaming campaigns, swatting, repeated unwanted messages
Actions: First violation → warning; Second (30d) → 7-day suspension; Third (90d) → 30-day suspension; Fourth+ → permanent ban; Severe threats → immediate ban + law enforcement
Permanent Ban: Final (no appeals except mistaken identity/data error with legal review)
6. Exceptions & Safe Contexts
News & Documentary
Reporting on violations allowed in news context. Documentary/educational content allowed (genocide imagery in educational context, medical imagery in health education, violence when documenting). Requirement: clear educational framing.
Satire & Commentary
Parody/satire of public figures allowed if clearly labeled and understood as satire. News commentary, political discourse, and opinion pieces allowed if not presenting false facts as true.
7. Agency Content & Social Features
7.1 Agency-Posted Content Moderation
Content posted by agencies about talent subject to same moderation rules. Prohibited: false/misleading info, posted without consent, harassment, spam, copyright violations. Enforcement: content removal, progressive discipline, account suspension.
Agencies Cannot Suppress Feedback: Agencies cannot delete honest, respectful criticism or block users for disagreement. Suppression of legitimate criticism violates fair dealing principles.
Legitimate Blocking
Users can block repeated harassment/threats
Blocked user cannot see blocker's content
False blocking to suppress criticism may result in action against blocker
7.3 Liability for User Comments & CDA § 230 Safe Harbor
Agency Responsibility: Agencies not liable for user comments on agency-posted content. Users who post inappropriate comments bear full responsibility. Moderation team removes policy-violating comments.
Fair Speech Protection: Platforms protect honest criticism and opinion (not misinformation/harassment). Disliking a comment or disagreeing with content is not grounds for removal. Moderation applies only to policy violations.
8. Special Cases: Minors & Guardians
Guardian Override Authority: Guardians can request content removal (minor's own), account suspension, removal of content posted by agencies about minor
Minor Content Protection: Faces blurred in third-party content (if requested), locations not publicly shared, private accounts recommended, guardians can restrict commenters
