1. Overview
P3RSON, Inc. follows the economic sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Treasury Department. We cannot provide the service to sanctioned territories or to people and entities on OFAC's lists.
2. Who Cannot Use P3RSON
- People in, or ordinarily resident in, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea or Syria, and any other territory OFAC designates as comprehensively sanctioned
- People and entities on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List or on other U.S. government sanctions lists
- Anyone owned or controlled by a sanctioned person or entity
3. How We Screen
- At sign-up: IP location, name matching against sanctions lists, address and payment method country checks, and identity checks by Stripe for payouts.
- Ongoing: we update our screening when OFAC updates its lists, and we monitor transactions for signs of sanctions evasion.
4. If We Find a Match
- We may suspend or terminate the account and block payments right away.
- We email you that the account was closed and cite sanctions law, as far as the law allows us to explain.
- Pending payments are handled as OFAC rules require. Where we may refund, we refund the full amount including the platform fee, to the original payment method through Stripe.
- We keep account and screening records for 5 years.
5. Your Promises
By creating an account you confirm that you are not in a sanctioned territory, not on a sanctions list, not owned or controlled by a sanctioned person, and that you will not use P3RSON to get around sanctions or pay on behalf of a sanctioned person.
6. Evasion
Using a VPN or proxy to hide your location, using an intermediary, giving false registration details or structuring transactions to avoid screening is a violation. We may terminate the account and report it to authorities.
7. Mistaken Matches
If you think we blocked you by mistake, email [email protected] with proof of identity and an explanation. We review and reply within 30 days. If a license is needed, it must come from OFAC. We accept only a valid OFAC license, and you must give us the license number.
8. Outside the United States
The service is offered in the United States. See the Terms of Service on use from other countries.
