1. Content Posting Restrictions for Minors
1.1 Core Restriction
- Users under 13 may not create or keep an account.
- Users age 13-17 (minors) cannot post any content without active guardian approval.
- Minor accounts are read-only by default.
- The restriction applies to posts, stories, digital snaps, live streams, and comments with media. It includes captions, hashtags, edited content, reposts, and collaborations.
- It does not apply to text-only comments, profile edits, or message reactions.
1.2 Approval Scope
Content that needs approval:
- Posts: photos, text-image combinations, carousel posts
- Stories: content that disappears after 24 hours
- Digital Snaps: collaborative media between creators and brands
- Live Streams: real-time video
- Mentions and tags, when a minor mentions other users in media
Content that does not need approval:
- Text-only messages with no media attached
- Non-public account and safety settings
- Emoji reactions and likes
- Following and unfollowing
1.3 Private P3 Audit and No Monetization
Private P3 Audit:
- A minor needs active guardian approval before submitting Digitals to the P3 Audit.
- A minor's P3 Index and AI Scout Notes are visible only to the minor and the verified guardian.
- Minor audit results cannot be public, searchable, shared with brands, used for commercial ranking, or placed in a public Media Kit.
Strict under-18 rule:
- Minors cannot use paid bookings, offers, tips, gifts, subscriptions, paid boosts, sponsorships, NIL deals, P3 Coins, Stripe, Smart Escrow, payouts, rates, or any other monetization or commercial feature.
- A guardian cannot override this rule, whatever the value of the project.
1.4 Approval Status and Posting
A minor can post only when all of these are true:
- Guardian approval is active.
- The approval has not expired (approval lasts 1 year; we send a renewal reminder 30 days before it ends).
- The guardian's email is verified.
When posting is blocked, the app tells the minor why:
- Approval not yet given: "Awaiting guardian approval to post content."
- Approval expired: "Guardian approval has expired. Please request new approval."
- Guardian revoked approval: "Your guardian has withdrawn posting permission."
- Account suspended: "Your account is suspended. You cannot post."
1.5 Notification and Logging
- Failed posting attempts by a minor are logged with the user, the content type, the reason, and the time. The log is used for safety and compliance checks.
- The guardian receives an email saying the minor tried to post without approval. It shows the time and content type, never the content. If there are several attempts, the guardian gets one daily digest.
2. Prohibited Content Categories
2.1 Harassment and Bullying
Definition: targeted attacks, threats, doxxing, and hate speech aimed at individuals or groups.

- Swatting (false emergency calls)
- Repeated unwanted messages after being asked to stop

Copyright holders: file a notice on the DMCA Notice page (the link-out in the report sheet leads there). We act on valid notices as the DMCA Policy describes.
2.5 Inappropriate Content

Moderation actions: immediate removal; age verification may be required; repeat violations lead to a 30-day suspension; non-consensual intimate images lead to a permanent ban and a law-enforcement referral.
2.6 Child Safety
Definition: protecting minors from exploitation, grooming, endangerment, and abuse.
Examples:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

- Mandatory law-enforcement referral
- Content preserved for the investigation
- User ID placed on a block-list to prevent re-registration

Examples:
- Suicide methods or instructions
- Self-harm tutorials or glorification
- Pro-eating-disorder content and encouragement

- Content meant to trigger or encourage self-harm
- Suicide group invitations or pacts
Crisis support: flagged content is removed and the user is shown crisis resources, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Moderation actions: content removal; the user is directed to support resources; repeat violations lead to suspension; credible threats of imminent self-harm may be reported to emergency services.
2.8 Misinformation and Disinformation
Definition: demonstrably false health claims, election interference, and fake news meant to deceive.
Examples:
- Provably false health claims or fake cures
- Election fraud claims made without evidence
- Dangerous medical advice
- Deepfake or synthetic media presented as real without a label (see Section 2.11)
- Conspiracy theories presented as fact
Context matters:
- Clearly labeled satire or comedy is allowed.
- Criticism of news or questioning of official claims is allowed.
- Discussion of conspiracy theories with clear context is allowed.
- Disproven health claims presented as true are removed.
Fact-checking: community reports are reviewed, claims are checked against scientific or reliable sources, and third-party fact-checkers may be consulted. Misleading but not entirely false content may get a context flag instead of removal.
Moderation actions: context flag (not removal) for misleading content; warnings for repeated health misinformation; immediate removal for election interference; removal of high-impact health misinformation.
2.9 Illegal Activity
Definition: drug trafficking, weapons sales, prostitution, human trafficking, and terrorism.

Reporting indicators: "DM for" posts offering illegal goods, marketplace-style listings for controlled substances, recruitment into criminal organizations.
Moderation actions: immediate removal, mandatory law-enforcement referral, account termination, user ID blocked, and financial records provided to law enforcement when the law requires or allows it. We remove other illegal content within 24 hours of confirming it is illegal.
2.10 Other Violations
Catch-all for other severe violations decided by the moderation team.
Examples:
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior (bot networks, bought engagement)
- Platform manipulation (exploiting bugs, bypassing restrictions)
- Impersonation of another person or entity, including with AI (see Section 2.11)
- Harassment of P3RSON staff or moderators
- Accumulated minor violations
- Attempts to get around safety features
Moderation actions: removal, warning, or suspension depending on context. A senior moderator decides borderline cases. The user is told which rule applied, and can appeal.
2.11 Synthetic and AI-Generated Content
You may post AI-generated or AI-edited content. These rules apply to it.
Label it:
- Label content that is wholly or substantially AI-generated or AI-altered when it shows a realistic person, voice, place, or event and could be taken for real. Use the in-app "AI-generated" label, or state it in the caption.
- Do not remove or hide a label we or the app added.
- Content that shows a realistic person doing or saying something they did not do, with no label, is removed.
Do not impersonate:
- Do not use AI to pose as a real person, including talent, creators, agencies, brands, or P3RSON staff.
- Do not create accounts, profiles, Media Kits, audit results, or testimonials that use a real person's synthetic face or voice to appear to be that person.
Digital replicas need separate written approval:
- Do not create or post a digital replica of a real person (a synthetic copy of their face, body, or voice) without that person's separate written approval for that use.
- Approval for one use does not cover another. A person can withdraw approval for future use at any time. Agency or brand consent does not replace the person's own approval.
- A minor's likeness can never be used for a digital replica.
Always prohibited, label or not:
- Sexual or intimate synthetic imagery of a real person made without their consent (see Section 14)
- Sexualized synthetic imagery of anyone who appears to be a minor
- Synthetic media meant to deceive voters, defraud, harass, or damage a person's reputation
Moderation actions: unlabeled realistic synthetic content is removed with a warning; impersonation and replicas without approval are removed and can lead to suspension; non-consensual intimate or minor-related synthetic content leads to the actions in Sections 2.5 and 2.6.
3. Progressive Discipline Process
3.1 Violation Tracking
- Violations are tracked per user and by category.
- Timeline: 30 days is recent, 90 days is medium, 1 year is historical.
- Severity is recorded as low, medium, high, or critical.
- Violations in different categories can escalate faster.
3.2 First Violation: Warning
- Content is removed.
- The user is notified by email with the statement of reasons described in Section 4.4.
- No suspension.
- The user can appeal within 14 days. We decide content-removal appeals within 48 hours.
3.3 Second Violation (same category, within 30 days)
- Content is removed.
- 7-day suspension. The account cannot be used for 7 days, and drafts and scheduled posts are deleted.
- The user can appeal within 14 days. We decide suspension appeals within 7 days.
3.4 Third Violation (same category, within 90 days)
- Content is removed.
- 30-day suspension. The account is locked and paid subscriptions are paused, with no charges during the suspension.
- The account is reviewed for a permanent ban.
- The user can appeal within 14 days. We decide within 7 days.
3.5 Fourth Violation or Pattern (within 1 year)
- Permanent account ban, account deletion, and removal of content.
- Re-registration is blocked.
- No appeal, except the limited appeal in Section 5.3 for mistaken identity or a data error.
3.6 Severe Violations: Bypass Progressive Discipline
These bring an immediate permanent ban and a law-enforcement referral, with no warning and no grace period:
- Crimes against children (CSAM, grooming, child exploitation). No appeal.
- Human trafficking (sex or labor trafficking, exploitation). No appeal.
- Terrorism and violent extremism (recruitment, extremist content). No appeal.
- Credible death threats.
4. Content Moderation Process
4.1 Detection and Flagging
Automated detection:
- Automated tools flag suspicious content, such as spam, harassment language, and CSAM indicators.
- Flagged content goes to a review queue. Automated tools do not remove content alone, except where the content matches known illegal material.
User reporting:
- Members report violations with the in-app report button.
- A report includes the category and optional context.
- The reported user cannot see who reported them.
- Automated filtering limits spam reports.
Proactive detection:
- Our team watches trending topics and known repeat violators.
- We look for coordinated harassment.
4.2 Human Review
- A moderator reviews the flagged content, the full context, the user's history, and intent.
- Initial human response within 24 hours.
- Decision: remove, restrict, suspend, or allow.
Context factors:
- Is the content educational or satirical?
- Does the user have a history of violations?
- Is it newsworthy or documentary?
- Is the intent genuine discussion or deliberate harm?
Escalation tiers:
- Moderator
- Senior Moderator
- Senior Trust and Safety Review (internal review)
A senior moderator reviews borderline cases, and special categories such as politics and health get elevated review. Illegal activity is referred to law enforcement.
4.3 Actions Taken
Content removal: the post is deleted and the user is notified of what was removed and why, with a snippet of the content.
Account suspension: the account is locked, messages and comments cannot be sent, and the profile shows as suspended. Duration is 7 days, 30 days, or permanent.
Permanent ban: the account is deleted, content is removed, and the email and phone number cannot be used to register again.
Restriction: we may limit visibility, reach, or monetization features instead of removing content. This gets the same notice as a removal.
No action: if the content is allowed, nothing changes. If the user filed an appeal, the user is told the outcome.
4.4 Statement of Reasons
Whenever we remove or restrict content, limit visibility or monetization, or suspend or terminate an account, we send a notice. It tells you:
| Item | What it says |
|---|---|
| What we acted on | The content, account, or feature |
| The rule | The specific Community Guidelines section that applied |
| The facts we relied on | A short clip or description of the content and its context |
| How it was detected | Whether automated tools detected it, and whether a person made the decision |
| Effective date and length | When the action took effect and how long it lasts |
| How to appeal | The 14-day deadline and the steps to appeal |
The notice never names the person who reported you. Full details of appeals are in the Appeals Policy.
Timing: the notice is sent when we act. For a suspension or ban it is sent at the same time as the suspension or ban takes effect.
5. Report and Appeal Process
5.1 Reporting Violations
How to report:
- Tap the report button on a post or profile.
- Choose the reason (harassment, spam, fraud, intimate image removal, and others).
- Add context if you want to.
- Submit. The reported user does not see the report.
You can also email [email protected].
Report rules:
- Report a specific post or user. One report per post.
- Spam reports are rejected. Five false reports in 30 days brings a warning.
Timeline:
- We acknowledge your report immediately.
- Initial human response within 24 hours.
- Full investigation up to 7 days.
- If you reported content that is yours, you are told the outcome.
Copyright and other legal requests are not filed through the report button. Use the "Copyright or legal request" link, which opens the DMCA Notice page.
5.2 Reporter Protection
- The reported user cannot see who reported them or the report details, except where law enforcement requires it.
- Retaliation against a reporter is prohibited. It includes harassing the reporter, filing false reports in response, and threats. Retaliation brings a permanent ban.
- False reports are tracked: 5 or more in 30 days brings a warning, and 10 or more in 90 days limits your ability to report.
5.3 Appeal Process
Appeals deadline: 14 days from the date of the notice.
How to appeal:
- In the app: Settings > Appeals, or the Appeal button in the notice.
- By email: [email protected].
Decision times:
| Action appealed | Decision within |
|---|---|
| Content removal or restriction | 48 hours |
| Suspension | 7 days |
| Permanent ban (limited appeal) | 7 days |
Rules:
- One appeal per action.
- A different reviewer decides when practicable.
- You receive the result and the reason in writing.
- No appeal for CSAM, human trafficking, or terrorism, or after a fourth violation.
- A permanent ban can be appealed only for mistaken identity or a data error.
5.4 Final Arbiter and Escalation
- The P3RSON moderation team decides under these Community Guidelines. There is no peer jury.
- Escalation path: Moderator, then Senior Moderator, then Senior Trust and Safety Review.
- Each level may reverse the earlier decision. The final decision is binding as the Terms of Service provide.
The Appeals Policy has the full process.
6. Exceptions and Safe Contexts
6.1 News and Documentary
- Reporting on violations is allowed. Credit the original source.
- Public interest can outweigh harm for newsworthy content.
- Educational use of historical imagery, medical imagery, and violence is allowed when the educational framing is clear.
6.2 Satire and Commentary
- Parody and satire of public figures are allowed when clearly labeled or clearly understood as satire. The intent must be criticism, not deception.
- Critique of news stories, political discourse, and opinion pieces are allowed. Do not present false facts as true.
7. Agency Content and Social Features
7.1 Agency-Posted Content
Scope: content that Agencies post on behalf of Talent or about Talent, including announcements, casting calls, job postings, and portfolio showcases. It follows the same rules as Talent-posted content.
Prohibited:
- False or misleading information about Talent (rates, availability, qualifications)
- Content posted without the Talent's consent
- Harassment, bullying, or negative commentary in agency posts
- Spam or repeated posting of the same content
- Using Talent photos without permission
Enforcement:
- Violating content is removed. Repeated violations follow the same progressive discipline.
- Agencies cannot post for Talent without prior explicit consent.
- Talent can ask for removal of posts made about them.
7.2 Comments, Likes, and Shares
What users can do:
- Comment on public Talent or Agency content
- Like posts and comments, and share content
- Send private messages (separate from public comments)
- Report inappropriate comments
Comment moderation:
- Comments follow these Guidelines. Harassment, spam, and hateful content are prohibited.
- You can delete your own comments at any time.
- You cannot delete others' comments on your posts unless they violate the Guidelines.
Agencies cannot suppress feedback:
- They cannot delete honest, respectful criticism.
- They cannot block users from commenting except for repeated harassment.
- They cannot hide negative comments or ratings.
Legitimate blocking:
- A user can block others for repeated harassment or threats.
- A blocked user cannot see the blocker's content.
- Blocking is logged for audit, which protects both parties.
- Blocking used to suppress criticism can lead to action against the blocker.
Sharing and reposting:
- Public content can be shared with the original creator credited.
- Removing credit is a copyright violation.
- Using content in a misleading context violates these Guidelines.
7.3 Responsibility for Comments and Shared Content
- Agencies are not responsible for user comments on their posts. The user who posts a comment is responsible for it.
- Moderators remove comments that break the rules. Disliking a comment, or disagreeing with it, is not a reason to remove it.
- We protect honest criticism and opinion. We do not protect misinformation or harassment.
8. Special Cases: Minors and Guardians
Guardian authority:
- Guardians can ask for removal of the minor's own content.
- Guardians can ask for suspension of the minor's account.
- Guardians must verify the relationship by email.
- Guardians can ask for removal of Talent content that Agencies posted about the minor.
Minor content protection:
- A minor's face is blurred in third-party content on request, where feasible.
- A minor's location is not shared publicly in content.
- Private accounts are recommended for minors.
- Guardians can restrict who comments on the minor's posts.
Quiet hours by design:
- P3RSON does not send push notifications to minors between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. local time. This is built into the app. A guardian cannot turn it off, and it applies to every minor account.
Commercial protection:
- Minor profiles and private P3 Audit results are not commercial discovery surfaces.
- Brands and agencies cannot solicit, book, sponsor, pay, tip, gift, or compensate a minor through P3RSON.
- Guardian approval enables posting and the private P3 Audit only. It never enables monetization.
9. Sponsored Content and FTC Disclosure
Adult accounts only: sponsored content and compensation features are for eligible users 18 or older. Users under 18 cannot take part, even with guardian approval.
FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255):
What counts as sponsored content:
- A brand pays a creator for an endorsement, review, or testimonial.
- Payment includes money, free products, or any other valuable consideration.
- The creator's opinion may be influenced by the payment.
Disclosure rules:
- #ad or #sponsored must appear at the start of the post (first line).
- Place it clearly and conspicuously, not in the comments.
- It must be visible everywhere the content appears.
- It must come before the viewer meets the endorsement.
AI and virtual endorsers:
- If the endorser is an AI-generated or virtual person, say so, and disclose the sponsorship too. Do not present a virtual endorser as a real customer or real expert.
- A real person's likeness or voice in a sponsored post needs that person's separate written approval (see Section 2.11).
- An AI or virtual endorser cannot claim personal experience with a product that no real person had.
Fake reviews and testimonials:
- Do not post, buy, trade for, or generate fake reviews, ratings, or testimonials, including AI-written ones.
- Do not review or rate your own work or a business you own or work for without disclosing the relationship.
- Do not hide or suppress honest reviews, and do not offer pay or a reward in exchange for only positive reviews.
Consequences for non-disclosure or fake endorsements:
- First violation: content is flagged for 7 days so you can add the disclosure.
- Second violation: content is removed and the account is suspended for 7 days.
- Third and later violations: account termination.
- Creators, not P3RSON, are responsible for complying with disclosure rules.
10. Financial Services and Investment Claims
Prohibited:
- "Guaranteed returns" or "guaranteed profit"
- Promises of specific earnings or income
- Unqualified investment advice
- Cryptocurrency schemes or pump-and-dump tactics
- Multi-level marketing recruitment
- Forex or binary-options promotion
- Get-rich-quick schemes
Allowed with a clear disclaimer:
- Educational finance content
- Personal finance stories labeled as personal experience
- Investment education labeled "not financial advice"
- Links to licensed advisors with a clear disclosure of your relationship
11. NIL Rights and Athlete Protection
Adult accounts only: P3RSON NIL deal and compensation features are unavailable to users under 18. Guardian approval does not create an exception.
P3RSON protections:
- Creators keep 100% of their NIL rights.
- Brands cannot use a creator's likeness without explicit written consent.
- Consent is required for each use.
- Creators can revoke future NIL rights at any time, subject to an existing written agreement.
Brand obligations:
- Verify the creator's NIL rights before use.
- Keep a written license agreement.
- Respect applicable league, institutional, and geographic restrictions.
- Stop unauthorized use and respond to valid takedown requests.
12. Creator Rights and IP Protection
What creators own:
- Copyright in content they create and upload
- Applicable derivative, licensing, attribution, and integrity rights
- The right to delete content, subject to lawful retention requirements
- For eligible adults, the right to monetize or license content independently
What P3RSON does not do:
- Claim ownership of creator content
- License creator content to advertisers without permission
- Train generative AI models on creator faces or content
- Sell, rent, or sublicense creator content
Creator protection:
- DMCA reporting and counter-notice procedures
- Creator usage-audit requests
- Optional watermarking
- Evidence retention where the law requires it
- Copyright support resources
13. Takedown and Appeals Process
Reasons content is taken down:
- Community Guidelines violation
- DMCA copyright claim
- Intimate image removal request (Section 14)
- Law-enforcement request
- Court order or legal hold
Takedown steps:
- Detection by automated systems, a user report, or an authorized request
- Human review where appropriate
- Action, with a notice that gives the statement of reasons and the appeal path (Section 4.4)
Appeals:
- Submit within 14 days in Settings > Appeals or at [email protected].
- A different reviewer decides when practicable.
- Successful appeals restore eligible content promptly.
- Failed appeals get a written reason and any next steps.
- See the Appeals Policy.
DMCA counter-notice:
- Copyright claims follow the separate DMCA counter-notice process.
- A valid counter-notice starts the legally required waiting period.
- Content may be restored if the claimant does not file a qualifying lawsuit.
14. Intimate Image Removal (TAKE IT DOWN Act)
Posting a non-consensual intimate image of a person is prohibited. This includes real images and AI-generated images that look like a real person ("digital forgeries"). We remove them under the TAKE IT DOWN Act and these Guidelines.
14.1 Who can ask
- The person shown in the image
- Someone authorized to act for that person
You do not need a P3RSON account to make a request.
14.2 How to ask
- In the app: tap the report button and choose "Intimate image removal."
- By email: write to [email protected] with the subject "Intimate image removal."
14.3 What a valid request includes
- A physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
- Identification of the image: a link, or its location in the app, with enough detail for us to find it.
- A brief statement that you believe in good faith that the image is non-consensual.
- Your contact information.
14.4 What we do
| Step | Commitment |
|---|---|
| Removal | We remove the image within 48 hours of a valid request. |
| Copies | We make reasonable efforts to find and remove known identical copies. |
| Confirmation | We confirm to you that the image has been removed. |
| Minors | If the image shows a minor, we also report it to NCMEC as the law requires. |
14.5 Other points
- Your request is handled confidentially. We do not tell the poster who made it.
- A false request can lead to action against the requester's account.
- The person who posted the image gets a statement of reasons and can appeal under the Appeals Policy. We keep the image down while an appeal is reviewed, and a successful appeal will not restore a non-consensual intimate image.
- Posting a non-consensual intimate image brings a permanent ban and a law-enforcement referral.
