1. Our Commitment
P3RSON, Inc. wants people with disabilities to be able to use P3RSON. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for the P3RSON iOS app and the p3rson.com website. We do not meet that level today, and this page says plainly what works and what does not yet.
2. What Works Today in the iOS App
- VoiceOver labels on controls and tab items, including which tab is selected
- VoiceOver custom actions on Timeline posts: Like, Open comments, Share and Open profile
- Photo carousels that VoiceOver can move through with the adjust gesture, and that say which photo you are on (for example, "1 of 3")
- Standard iOS text sizes are honored on the P3 Pro paywall and the account setup screens
- With Reduce Motion turned on, Timeline videos do not start on their own. You press play
- When you post a photo or video, you can add a description (alt text) for it
3. Partial or In Progress
| Area | Where we are |
|---|---|
| Text size | Most of the app does not yet follow your system text size. Text on many screens, including sign-in, the Timeline, Profile and Settings, stays at a fixed size. We are working on it |
| Color contrast | Some secondary text, error messages and borders do not have enough contrast. We do not yet adapt to the Increase Contrast setting |
| Motion | Reduce Motion is honored in some places, not everywhere. Some animations still play when it is on |
| VoiceOver | We have not yet checked every screen with VoiceOver. Some buttons may have no label, and some screens do not move VoiceOver focus when something new appears. Timeline photos are read as "Photo 1 of 3" and not with the author's description |
| Dark mode | The app does not offer a dark mode setting. Some screens are dark and some are light |
| Captions | Not yet available. Videos in the app do not have captions, and live streams have no real-time captions |
| Charts and data tables | Some analytics charts are hard for screen readers. Ask us for a text version of a report |
4. Testing
We review accessibility by reading the app's code and by using VoiceOver on some screens. We have not yet completed a full test of every screen with VoiceOver or larger text sizes, so the lists above may miss problems.
5. Tell Us About a Problem
The app does not have an in-app accessibility reporting form yet. To tell us about a problem, or to ask for another way to do something, email support@p3rson.com and mention "accessibility" in the subject. Say which screen and which assistive technology you were using, if you can.
We read every message. We are a small team, so we cannot promise a response time. If you cannot use a feature, tell us and we will try to give you another way to do the same thing.
6. Other Help
For unresolved complaints about access, see the Dispute Resolution document.
