2. Funds Are Held
The brand initiates the booking, and the payment is held with Stripe before the shoot. The creator then confirms the booking. Both sides agree the scope and amount first, so the money is set aside before you ever step on set.
3. Talent Delivers
You do the work. Show up on time, deliver the assets, hit the brief.
4. Funds Are Released
The brand reviews the deliverable and marks the booking complete. The held funds are then released and split: the 10% platform fee to P3RSON, Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee to Stripe, and the remainder to your Stripe account. Payout timing depends on Stripe. No invoice and no follow-up email.
What Happens When There Is a Payment Dispute?
Disputes happen. A brand says the deliverable missed the brief. Talent says they followed the scope exactly. In the old model, whoever has more power wins. The brand ghosts or the talent eats the loss.
Smart Escrow is designed to handle it differently. Under P3RSON's Terms, a dispute can be filed within 30 days after booking completion, with evidence such as booking messages, photos, and contracts. Refunds are available within 30 days for reasons such as a service not delivered or a cancellation agreement.
